This is a hands‐on finance role supporting the day‐to‐day operations of a busy civil construction business.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid‐paced environment.The OpportunityWorking closely with management, project teams, suppliers and customers, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, as well as providing general finance and administration support to the business.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing and coding supplier invoices, including subcontractor and plant hire invoicesManaging accounts payable and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on timeRaising customer progress claims, invoices and statementsManaging accounts receivable and following up outstanding paymentsProcessing purchase orders,
invoices and supporting documentationReconciling supplier statements and customer accountsBank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliationsChecking invoices against purchase orders, delivery dockets and job documentationAssisting with project cost tracking and allocation of expensesMaintaining accurate records for construction projectsAssisting with month‐end processes and reportingLiaising with project managers, supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors and customersProviding general administration support to the finance and management teamsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableExperience within civil construction, construction, earthmoving or a similar industry highly regardedAn understanding of subcontractor, supplier and project‐based invoicingStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time management and organisational skillsThe ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood computer skills and experience with accounting softwareA proactive, practical approach and a willingness to assist across the businessWhy Join Us?
