You'll be involved in a variety of administrative and patient-facing responsibilities, including:Welcoming patients and delivering exceptional customer serviceManaging admissions and facilitating a smooth patient journeyConducting financial and health fund checksPreparing and maintaining accurate medical recordsProcessing patient payments and administrative documentationCommunicating with patients to finalise pre-admission requirementsCoordinating with doctors' rooms and hospital departmentsAnswering and directing phone enquiries professionally and efficientlySupporting the broader administration team with data entry and general clerical tasksAbout Us:Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical,
ICU and rehabilitation wards.
Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.What We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who is:Friendly, professional and customer-focusedOrganised and able to juggle competing prioritiesComfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environmentA confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phoneA proactive team player who takes initiative Punctual, well-presented and reliable in attendanceEssential Skills and ExperiencePrevious medical reception or administration experienceExperience within the healthcare industryWorking within a team delivering to deadlinesCustomer service skillsAbility to multi-taskExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work autonomously and collaborativelyFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early and late startsSound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook,
