Our client, a highly regarded Australian university, is seeking an experienced Learning Designer to join their digital education team on an initial 6 to 8 week temporary contract, starting as soon as possible.This is a full time engagement at 35 hours per week, offered on a hybrid working arrangement.
The role can be based from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.About the roleYou will work closely with academic and professional staff to design, develop and deliver engaging, student-centred digital learning content, applying sound pedagogical principles within established templates and publishing timelines.
This role suits a learning designer who is comfortable working at pace within a structured, quality-driven environment.Skills and experienceA minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer or similar, ideally within a higher education or comparable education settingDemonstrated experience designing and developing online learning content within a learning management system such as Canvas,
Moodle or BlackboardSound understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply these within a digital environmentStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with academic staffAbility to manage multiple projects at pace while maintaining a consistent standard of design and qualityMultimedia capability (preferred)Basic multimedia capability is preferred for this role.
