This is an opportunity to join a growing building business and work closely with the builder and site team to produce practical, accurate and buildable drawings for a variety of residential projects.Key responsibilitiesPreparing drawings for residential renovations and extensionsExisting and proposed floor plansHouse extensions and alterationsInternal renovations and layout changesBasic site plans and site layoutsElevations and construction drawingsBasic construction detailsDrafting from site measurements,
sketches and builder instructionsPreparing plans for building approval and project documentationUpdating and amending drawings as projects developLiaising with the builder and site team to ensure drawings are practical and buildableAbout youPrevious experience in residential draftingExperience with renovations and extensionsA good understanding of residential constructionStrong attention to detailAbility to interpret site measurements and sketchesAbility to produce accurate, qualified and easy-to-read drawingsGood communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsCompetency with AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting softwareKnowledge of Queensland residential construction requirements and approval processes will be highly regardedStable and ongoing workloadVariety of residential renovation and extension projectsDirect involvement with the builder and construction teamOpportunity to grow with the businessFriendly and practical working environment
