Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad Finance Manager position with a strong focus on technical accounting, statutory reporting, financial control and ownership of the accounting function.You will take ownership of the month-end close and key statutory reporting requirements, while working closely with the Financial Controller to strengthen the Finance environment, improve controls and build scalable processes as the organisation continues to grow.Your responsibilities will include:Owning and leading the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingTaking ownership of statutory reporting requirements,



including the preparation of annual financial statementsManaging the external audit process and acting as a key point of contact for auditors and external advisorsProviding technical accounting guidance and assessing the accounting treatment of significant or complex transactionsPreparing technical accounting position papers and supporting documentationEnsuring compliance with relevant AASB/IFRS accounting standardsManaging Group reporting requirements across monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cyclesReviewing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and management accountsStrengthening financial controls, policies and procedures as the business continues to scaleIdentifying opportunities to automate and streamline Finance processesSupporting broader statutory, compliance and tax reporting requirementsWorking closely with internal and external stakeholders across the broader businessProviding guidance and support to the accounting team and contributing to the ongoing development of the Finance functionAbout You!
You will be a technically strong accounting professional with experience across statutory reporting, month-end and financial control, who enjoys taking ownership and working in a growing environment.You will ideally have:CA/CPA qualification with a strong technical accounting foundationBig 4 or mid-tier accounting experience will be highly regardedExperience within renewable energy is desirable, however experienced candidates from infrastructure,



utilities or other asset-intensive environments will also be considered.Strong statutory reporting experience, including preparation of financial statementsExperience owning and leading the month-end close processStrong knowledge of AASB/IFRS and the ability to work through complex technical accounting mattersExperience strengthening financial controls and improving Finance processesStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both Finance and non-finance stakeholdersMost importantly, you will bring a curious, proactive and agile mindset.
You will be comfortable working in an setting where not every process has already been established, willing to investigate and work through problems, and motivated by the opportunity to improve how things are done.What's in it for You?
