About the OpportunityOur client is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of large format industrial packaging solutions, supporting critical industries across Australia and internationally.
With safety, operational excellence and sustainability at the heart of its operations, the business is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to provide strategic and hands‐on leadership across multiple manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in driving HSE strategy, strengthening safety culture and ensuring compliance across the business.Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement the HSE strategy across the businessDrive a proactive safety culture through leadership coaching and engagementIdentify, assess and manage operational and critical risksFocus on key areas including machinery safety, LOTO, traffic management, chemicals and working at heightsEnsure compliance with WHS and environmental legislationLead audits, inspections, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiativesManage and investigate high‐risk and notifiable incidentsDevelop and improve HSE systems, procedures,



training and reportingProvide coaching and capability development to site leaders and HSE teamsPartner with senior leadership to deliver measurable HSE improvementsAct as a key interface with relevant regulatory authorities
About You You will be an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial or similarly complex operational environments.
You will bring:
Extensive knowledge of Australian WHS and environmental legislationProven experience in a senior HSE leadership roleStrong leadership, coaching and change‐management skillsExperience with HSE management systems, including ISO ***** / ISO *****Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsA practical, hands‐on approach to safety leadershipThe ability to influence operational leaders and drive cultural change
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related disciplineAIHS or relevant professional membership advantageous
