This role is a relationship focused credit assessment role which will see the ideal candidate willing to engage with broker partners on the phone every day.The Senior Lending Manager will maintain ownership of individual files from lodgment through credit assessment, loan documentation and loan settlement which includes:Responding to lending scenariosReviewing each loan file to verify that supporting documents are present, accurate, and complete before credit underwritingExecuting on a delegated lending authorityWorking with valuers, solicitors, and other business partners to create efficiencyOverseeing the loan process through mortgage software systemEnsuring that loan rules, obligations,



and deadlines are metSupporting brokers with their applications to ensure files meet SLA's and key settlement timeframesProviding brokers ongoing communication and support throughout the lifecycle of the mortgageContributing to continuous improvement projectsAbout youYou are currently working in a lending or credit assessment role within a lender or a mortgage broking firm.You are looking to take the next step and advance your career and professional development building current skills and relationships.You are a motivated high performer and are looking for an opportunity where you can align your income with your high performance.You bring the following skills and experience:Minimum 2-3 years of experience with mortgage loan decisioning preferredHave held a Delegated Lending Authority of at least $1mExperience with non-bank mortgage lending would be preferredExperience with Simpology Loan App would be highly regardedStrong understanding of mortgage lending credit policies, processes, and productsSound understanding of the National Consumer Credit ActWorking knowledge of financial institution operational and compliance requirementsWell-developed communication and problem-solving skills, a genuine willingness to pick up the phone to find solutionsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work well both independently and within a team environmentStrong organisational and time management skillsA true solution focus to credit assessmentStrong attention to detailAbility to multi-taskExceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationshipsAdaptable with a strong ability to navigate and learn new systems and processesCertificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking well regardedWhy us?
