Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a large corporate finance team, supporting month-end close, statutory and shareholder reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and external audit activities.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete month-end accounting including journals, intercompany eliminations and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare statutory financial statements and support monthly, quarterly and annual reportingAssist with IFRS financial statements, accounting papers and technical accounting mattersPrepare audit working papers and support the external audit processAssist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and tax effect workingsSupport accounting policy updates, system improvements and process efficienciesContribute to broader finance and continuous improvement initiativesKey Requirements3+ years' accounting or finance experience within a medium to large corporate environmentTertiary qualification in Accounting,
Commerce or similarCA/CPA qualified or nearing completionKnowledge of Australian and International Accounting StandardsStrong financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation experienceIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience working with an ERP accounting systemStrong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlinesHighly RegardedSAP FI experienceTechnical accounting exposureExperience supporting statutory reporting and external auditsExperience mentoring or guiding junior finance team members6-month contract with potential to convert to permanentJoin an established finance function within a large corporate environmentBroad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, audit and improvement initiatives
