Your ability to analyse information, coordinate audits and turn complex requirements into clear, concise reports will be key to your success.
This is a permanent full-time position based at HMAS Kuttabul, Sydney.As a Quality and Compliance Co-ordinator in the Defence Marine Support Services team, you'll make a positive impact by:Managing quality and compliance requirements across maritime, ISO, contractual and legislative frameworksDeveloping and maintaining quality, safety and environmental management plans and controlled documentationCoordinating internal and external audits, assurance activities and compliance reviewsMonitoring HSEQ performance data, KPIs, risks and corrective actions,



and preparing clear reportsSupporting risk management, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiativesAdvising managers and supervisors on compliance requirements and opportunities to strengthen quality and safetySerco is a place for youYou'll be confident working with different teams, comfortable taking ownership of compliance activities and able to turn detailed information into clear, practical reports.
You don't need a maritime qualification, but experience in maritime, Defence, engineering or another high-risk operational environment will help you understand the work we do and make an immediate impact.You could be a great fit if you have:Experience supporting HSEQ, quality, safety, environmental or compliance systems in a maritime, Defence, engineering, facilities management or other high-risk operational environmentStrong quality and compliance experience, including supporting audits, assurance activities and ISO requirementsExperience preparing management reports, KPI information, compliance documentation and audit recordsThe ability to interpret legislative, contractual and ISO requirements and communicate them clearlyExperience with management systems, document control, risk assessments,



corrective actions and continuous improvementA Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent, with an Internal Auditor qualification or the ability to obtain oneA current Class C driver licence is requiredExperience in high-risk operation industries (e.g. Defence, maritime and mining), highly desirable.Please note:This position carries trust and responsibility.
