This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong payroll and finance experience who is ready to further develop their leadership and operational finance capabilities.This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, supporting management in decision-making and contributing to the company's financial health and growth.Location - Suite 2/54 Memorial Avenue, Liverpool NSW ****Employment type - Full time (permanent)About the RoleReporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day payroll and finance operations across multiple JHS hotel sites nationally.This position has a strong focus on payroll governance, financial reporting and operational finance support within a fast-paced hospitality and labour services environment.The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Operations and site leadership teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with HIGA and Fair Work requirements, and support the overall financial performance of the business.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, detail-oriented and looking to continue growing their career within a supportive and expanding business.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and support payroll operations across multiple hotel sitesEnsure payroll processing is accurate, compliant and completed within deadlinesReview timesheets, rosters,



labour reports and payroll dataMonitor labour costs, productivity and payroll discrepanciesSupport payroll compliance with HIGA, Fair Work and superannuation obligationsManage accounts payable and receivable functionsAssist with budgeting, reporting and operational finance analysisPrepare payroll and financial reports for ManagementWork closely with HR and Operations teams regarding staffing and payroll mattersSupport finance process improvements and system administration (Xero / Employment Hero)Maintain accurate payroll and financial recordsAssist in identifying financial risks and operational improvement opportunitiesRequirementsGood finance, payroll governance and labour costing capabilityAbility to manage payroll operations in a high-volume workforce environmentGood understanding of labour costing and operational reportingHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsKnowledge of HIGA and Fair Work complianceStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience with accounting and payroll systems for at least 3 years.Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems preferredExperience using Employment Hero payroll system will be highly regarded and considered an advantageQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fieldEssential SkillsProficiency in accounting software (SUN, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks)Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with BAS preparation and lodgementExperience in financial reporting preparationBenefitsSalary package ($95,000-$100,000 + Superannuation)Friendly and supportive work environment.Opportunities for career development and advancement.Josh Hospitality Services Pty Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
