Conduct risks assessments for field tasks at a team and individual level.
/n
Complete regular safety inspections of grade control drill rigs and ancillary equipment.
/n
Assist Geologists & Surveyors in completing ore mark ups, geological mapping, clast hole sampling ensuring no unplanned standby of mining equipment due to ore not being marked up.
/n
Ensure samples meet the GC QC sampling standards before removal of samples from the drill site.
/n
Reporting any non-compliance in sampling or drilling technique immediately to the driller and Senior Geologist.
/n
Maintain electronic records of all sample submissions and drilling completed by the Open Pit Geology team, ensure paper copies and files are accessible.
/n
Regular stockpile sampling, ensuring data is recorded showing assayed grades.
/n
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE /n
/n
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Preferable)
/n
Forklift Licence (Desirable)
/n
4WD competent and experience working in remote locations (Desirable).
/n
Knowledge (or formal training) of geological sampling theory (Desirable).
/n
Experience in conducting geological / geochemical sampling programs (Desirable).
