Principal Workforce Delivery Officer (Business Solutions and Projects)

The Program Workforce Unit is responsible for managing a range of workforce functions including recruitment, payroll, workforce data management, workforce systems and workforce projects that support the casual workforce employed under the QCAA Act to support the activities related to implementation of NAPLAN and Senior internal and external assessment.
The Principal Workforce Delivery Officer (Business Solutions and Projects) plays a pivotal role in leading business systems improvements, implementing projects and continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation within the Program Workforce unit and across the branch.
You will work collaboratively across business and technical teams to support the successful delivery, adoption and optimisation of business processes and digital solutions.
What you will do
In the Principal Workforce Delivery Officer (Business Solutions and Projects) role, you will:
Lead business system and process improvement projects including undertaking current and future state mapping, analysing business requirements to optimise system functionality, coordinating business readiness activities including training, communications and User acceptance testing implementing improvements using available technology, facilitating workshops and documenting outcomes.
Develop and maintain documentation for business systems, operational processes, procedures, decisions and best practices to support business operations and ongoing system capability,



including systems to support the branch's Help desk for NAPLAN and External Assessment.
This includes the maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base across the branch.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 applications, the branches ITSM tool (JIRA) and mass communication tool (Vision6), in-house built applications including the QCAA portal and Assessor Jobs platform, as well as, other business systems, providing guidance and support to staff to maximise system capability, user adoption and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders to support the implementation, enhancement, testing and optimisation of business systems and digital solutions.
Manage business systems implementation and improvement projects including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, and oversee project execution to ensure successful outcomes.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to garner support for change initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Drive a culture of seeking feedback, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing cutting-edge solutions.
Administer business system access and reporting by coordinating user access requests, maintaining role-based permissions, producing regular access and utilisation reports,



monitoring system access trends, and supporting periodic access reviews to ensure compliance with organisational policies and business requirements.
Reporting relationships
This role reports to the Manager, Program Workforce Unit.
One role reports directly to this position.
