Job Description
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Enter and reconcile bank transactions
Prepare and process supplier payments
Reconcile bank, credit card and other accounts
Issue customer invoices and monitor outstanding accounts
Follow up overdue customer payments
Process payroll and employee-related payments, if required
Prepare and lodge BAS and other ATO requirements, or liaise with the external accountant
Maintain GST records
Assist with month-end financial procedures
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports
Provide management with financial information and reporting as required
Maintain organised financial documentation
Liaise with the company's accountant, suppliers and customers when required
Identify discrepancies and resolve bookkeeping issues
Skills & Experience
Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to medium-sized business




Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping and GST requirements
Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
Solid attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Qualified communication skills
High level of confidentiality and integrity
