In thismaternity leave cover role, you'll be the steady hand that keeps our financial operations running smoothly.
You'll ensure payroll is processed flawlessly, accounts are reconciled on time, and compliance obligations are met without a hitch.
Your proactive approach and problem-solving mindset will help you spot issues before they arise, streamline processes, and keep everything running like clockwork — all while being supported and guided by our experienced CFO.

What You'll Do
Manage end-to-endpayroll processingusingEmployment Hero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian legislation.
Prepare and lodge BAS, single touch payroll, pay day superannuation, and otherstatutory obligations.
Work closely with the Finance Assistant to ensuresuppliers and carersare paid correctly and on time.
Maintain accurate financial records by preparation ofreconciliations
Completemonth-end closeincluding journals inQuickBooks.
Own the process that keepstrackof each child/young person'sindividual P&L;
Identifyprocess improvementsand proactively resolve payroll or accounting discrepancies before they escal...
Assist withbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisto support decision-making.
Assist with annual interim and finalaudit preparation.




Collaborate with HR and department managersto resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally.
What You'll Bring
Solid all round accounting experience with3+ years post qualifications experience
At least5 years' experience in payrollprocessing and exposure toEmployment Hero Payrollplatform desirable
Strong knowledge of Australian payrolllegislation and familiarity with awards
Hands-on experience with out of the box accounting software (QuickBooks preferred))
System savvywith advanced Excel skills and the ability to work across systems
Aproactive, solutions-focused mindset
Exceptionalattention to detailand a commitment toaccuracy
Solid organisational skillsand the ability to manage multiple priorities
Acollaborativestyle and agenuine desire to support colleagues

Requirements
Ability to obtain/maintain required pre-employment checks and certifications (including National Police Check, Working with Children Check), plus mandatory training as required.
