Afternoon Freight sorter / Dockhands - Ongoing Opportunity
Immediate Start | Ongoing Work | Afternoon Shift | $***** per hour
Jobwire is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Freight Sorters / Warehouse Labourers to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in Lidcombe, relocating to Kemps Creek Early Next year, Feb / March ****.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for ongoing Monday-to-Friday work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
The role involves sorting freight, loading and unloading, and moving freight throughout the depot.
The Role
Afternoon shift commencing at approximately 4:00pm
Finish around 8:00pm-8:30pm
Monday to Friday
$***** per hour
Ongoing work with the opportunity for additional hours
Immediate start available
Duties & Responsibilities
Sort freight on and off conveyor belts and onto pallets
Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight
Move freight, pallets and skids throughout the depot
Scan and label freight accurately
Sort freight safely and correctly
Handle cartons, pallets, skids and oversized items
Safely move awkward, bulky and top-heavy freight, including cabinets
Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work setting
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
Reliable,



punctual and committed to ongoing work
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Experienced in handling freight, pallets, skids and oversized items
Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
Able to work well as part of a team
Available for ongoing afternoon shifts
Previous freight, transport or warehouse experience is highly regarded, but not essential for the right person
Must have your own reliable car and transport – this is essential
