The role
Maintain accurate books and records in line with AASB
Own core accounting activities - journals, AP/AR, general ledger
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax and other statutory filings
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
Assist with management accounts and variance analysis
Maintain fixed asset registers and support project expenditure accounting
Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations
Assist with ERP implementation, migration and process improvement
Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
Support annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning
Assist with finance due diligence for acquisitions and new projects
About you
CA, CPA or equivalent (or working towards)
Approximately 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience
Strong grounding in Australian accounting principles and financial reporting




Experience with AP, AR and general ledger accounting
Exposure to statutory reporting, external audit and tax compliance
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets and financial systems
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team
Advantageous
Experience in infrastructure, energy or renewable energy businesses
Experience with project entities, trusts, holding companies or investment structures
Experience with NetSuite, Xero or similar ERP/accounting systems
Understanding of GST, corporate income tax and deferred tax
Big 4 or qualified services accounting/audit background
