This is a permanent, full-time position with a dedicated focus on payroll processing, compliance and employee support.About the roleWorking closely with the Finance Operations and Payroll Manager, you will be directly involved across the complete payroll cycle.Our workforce changes significantly throughout the year, creating a diverse payroll environment with periods of high-volume processing.
This role will suit an experienced payroll professional who can work accurately under firm deadlines, investigate discrepancies and take ownership of their responsibilities throughout the payroll cycle.Your responsibilities will include:Processing end-to-end payroll accurately, compliantly and on timeReviewing and reconciling time and attendance information before payrollMaintaining employee payroll records, including new starters, employee changes, allowances, deductions, leave and terminationsCalculating and reconciling PAYG withholding, superannuation, leave accruals and other payroll liabilitiesPreparing payroll journals,



reconciliations and reportsSupporting Single Touch Payroll and financial-year-end processingResponding to employee payroll enquiries professionally and confidentiallyWorking closely with People and Culture to maintain accurate employee and payroll informationMaintaining audit-ready payroll records and assisting with internal and external audit requestsSupporting increased processing and reporting requirements during Campion's seasonal peakInvestigating payroll discrepancies and contributing to process improvementsWhat you will bringTo be considered for this role, you will have:At least three years of recent, hands-on experience in a dedicated payroll positionDemonstrated experience across multiple stages of the end-to-end payroll cycleExperience completing at least one full payroll year, including financial-year-end activitiesWorking knowledge of Australian payroll obligations, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, leave entitlements and applicable industrial instrumentsStrong payroll reconciliation and numerical problem-solving skillsThe ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentialityClear and professional communication skills when responding to employee enquiriesA genuine interest in developing long-term knowledge and ownership of Campion's payroll processesYou will also have experience with at least one of the following:ADP PayforceUKG Ready or a comparable time and attendance platformAdvanced Microsoft Excel, including functions such as XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables and data reconciliationExperience processing payroll for a large casual, retail, warehouse or seasonal workforce will be highly regarded.What we offerPermanent full-time employment with a competitive salaryHybrid working of up to two days from home once training is completed and you can perform the role independentlyExposure to a varied payroll environment with significant seasonal activitySupport from an experienced payroll and finance teamEmployee Assistance ProgramA stable Australian-owned business with a national presence
