Their operations are built on safety, innovation, inclusion and creating value for communities, customers and shareholders.Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the team at Rio Tinto's Boyne Smelter (BSL) in Gladstone.The Boyne Smelter is one of the largest aluminium smelters in Australia and operates a range of complex fixed plant and equipment across its Reduction Lines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with industrial or heavy-industry experience to work within a high-risk operating environment, supporting the secure and reliable operation of the plant.This residential role is open to candidates who live in Gladstone or the surrounding area.
FIFO/DIDO applicants from outside the local area will not be considered.The roster for this role is a lifestyle day/night roster, with the assignment running through to December ****.Reporting to the Supervisor and working in a collaborative environment,



you will:Complete electrical maintenance across fixed plant and equipment within the Reduction LinesMaintain crane tending assemblies and associated raw material delivery systemsComplete planned and breakdown maintenanceDiagnose electrical faults and undertake troubleshooting and repairsSupport the safe and reliable operation of plant and equipmentComplete other duties as requiredWork safely in accordance with Rio Tinto proceduresAbout YouPrevious mining or heavy industry experienceCommitment to work the rostered shiftsStrong teamwork and communication skillsDedication to everyone's safetyCurrent C Class manual drivers' licenseRelevant trade qualifications and certificatesAbility to pass pre-employment medical and otherWhy Join Chandler Macleod?
