This is a hands-on role covering workshop fabrication as well as on-site installation across our commercial fitout projects — so you'll need to be equally comfortable running a job in the shop and delivering it on site.Key responsibilitiesFabricate aluminium components to specification, including screens, balustrades, frames and custom architectural elementsRead and work from architectural and engineering drawings, shop drawings and fabrication schedulesCut, weld (TIG/MIG),
form and finish aluminium and associated metals to a high standardPrepare accurate cutting lists and material take-offs from drawingsCarry out in office installation of fabricated products, working alongside site teams and other tradesConduct on-site measure-ups and verify dimensions against shop drawings prior to fabricationEnsure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and project specificationsMaintain a safe workshop and site environment in line with WHS requirementsLiaise with project managers and site supervisors on programme, sequencing and accessAbout youTrade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator (Certificate III or equivalent) – highly regardedProven experience in aluminium fabrication (essential) — architectural/facade fabrication experience highly regardedConfident TIG welding aluminium; MIG/steel welding experience also valuedComfortable working both in the workshop and on commercial construction sitesCurrent driver's licenceCurrent White Card (construction induction)Working at Heights and EWP tickets highly regarded (or willingness to obtain)Strong drawing interpretation and attention to dimensional accuracyGood communicator, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat we offerFull time positionSteady work across a strong project pipelineA mix of workshop and site-based workSupportive, close-knit team environment
