We are seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join our Project Delivery Section within the Community Infrastructure Group.
In this role, you will provide quality surveying services to support the planning, design and delivery of Council's infrastructure works and projects.
Working across a diverse range of civil infrastructure, you will undertake engineering and investigation surveys, construction set out and Works as Executed surveys, while providing specialist surveying advice to project teams and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for an experienced surveyor who enjoys a mix of field and technical work, working across varied infrastructure projects and contributing specialist expertise to projects that deliver lasting benefits for our community.To Be Successful In This Position You Will HaveA Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline, or considerable relevant experience within the surveying industryDemonstrated experience using survey equipment including electronic distance measuring equipment, robotic survey equipment, total stations and GNSSExperience using survey and CAD software such as 12D and AutoCAD to prepare survey plansSound knowledge of survey infrastructure and the regulations and processes associated with its protection, preservation and managementWell-developed computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applicationsStrong written, verbal,



numeracy and interpersonal communication skillsA current Class C Driver LicenceOn a Typical Day You WillUndertake investigation and engineering survey works for Council infrastructure projectsInvestigate cadastral boundary information and transform survey information to the appropriate geodetic networkInvestigate and verify above and below-ground utility locationsUndertake construction set-out activities and Works as Executed surveysPrepare survey plans and process survey data using specialist survey and CAD softwareProvide specialist engineering survey advice and support to Council project teamsSupport project planning activities in accordance with Council's Project Management FrameworkCoordinate external survey consultants and contractors when specialist or additional survey services are requiredMaintain survey data collection systems, standards and quality processesEnsure survey equipment is appropriately maintained, serviced and calibratedUndertake risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place for survey activitiesThis is a great prospect to apply your surveying expertise across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects while helping deliver quality outcomes for the Port Macquarie-Hastings community.Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent,
