The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:The ability to read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams and specifications to determine compliance with regulations and safety standardsUse electrical test equipment/instrument to diagnose faultsRepair and replace faulty wirings and defective partsPreparation of drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitryMeasuring reference points and installing cables, wirings, switchboards and main earthing systemsSelecting, cutting, and connecting wires and cablesPreparation of estimates of material costs and quantitiesAssembling, installing, testing, calibrating,
modifying and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirementsMaintenance of installed systemsUndertaking workshop duties such as assembling protection relays, metering and indicating devicesCollecting data and preparing complex calculations to create charts and graphsKnowledge of 240 volt and 12 volts electricalSkills and Abilities:Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalentIdeally have a minimum of 4 years' experience as a qualified ElectricianThe ability to work in a team environmentLicensing requiredWhite card and driver license preferredSalary range is $75,000 - $90,000pa commensurate with experience.
