Rainbow Imports Pty Ltd – Wetherill Park NSWWe are a growing Australian e-commerce and retail business looking for a hands‐on and forward‐thinking E-commerce Systems & AI Specialist to support and continuously improve our technology environment.
While the position includes day-to‐day IT and systems support, a major focus of the role will be to research, evaluate and implement AI and automation solutions that can improve productivity, reduce repetitive work and help different departments operate more efficiently.
You will work across e-commerce, inventory, customer service, marketing, finance, warehousing and operations to understand existing processes, identify problems and explore how AI, automation and better technology can provide practical solutions.Key responsibilitiesActively research current AI tools, platforms and automation technologies relevant to e-commerce and business operations and keep up to date with developments in AIWork with different departments to understand repetitive, inefficient or manual processes and identify opportunities where AI or automation could improve productivity, accuracy, customer experience or decision-makingResearch and compare different solutions based on functionality, reliability, integration capability, security, cost and expected business benefitConduct trials and proof‐of‐concept testing before recommending implementationPresent recommendations to management in a clear and practical mannerImplement or coordinate approved AI and automation solutions and measure results after implementationMaintain and provide technical support for the company's Shopify websites, troubleshoot Shopify apps, integrations,



product data and system issuesProvide technical and systems support to help maintain accurate and reliable inventory information, troubleshoot inventory system issues and monitor stock synchronisation between Shopify, inventory systems, warehouses and other platformsExtract, organise and analyse data from different business systems and support management with sales, inventory, operational and performance reportingProvide day‐to‐day IT and systems support to employees, troubleshoot hardware, software, email, network and system issues, manage user accounts, permissions and system accessTrain employees from different departments on company systems, software and approved AI tools and develop clear user guides, SOPs and training materialsAbout youMinimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably within an e-commerce, retail or technology‐driven businessHands‐on experience with Shopify and e‐commerce systemsStrong general IT and systems troubleshooting skillsGood understanding of business systems and data flowsStrong analytical and problem‐solving skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‐technical employeesAbility to research and learn new technology independentlyStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsGenuine interest in AI, automation and emerging technology with ability to actively research new AI tools and experiment with technologyA full‐time role in a growing Australian e-commerce businessThe opportunity to take a leading role in the company's AI and automation initiativesFreedom to research, test and recommend new technology solutionsExposure to e‐commerce, inventory, marketing, data and operational systemsThe opportunity to see your technology initiatives implemented across real business operationsLong‐term career development as the company's technology and AI capabilities continue to grow
