THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Director Engineering Services, the Environmental, Waste & Sewer Coordinator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the sewer network and treatment plant.
You will support in the development of strategic plans to address environmental, reuse and waste and wastewater issues within Junee Shire Area.As the Environmental, Waste & Sewer Coordinator, you will be responsible for:Supporting the Director Engineering Services in managing Council's environmental, waste and sewerage functions.Lead, guiding and supporting operational staff at Junee Landfill and Junee Sewer Treatment plant site to develop and put in place consistent operational and maintenance plans.Managing the wastewater collection and treatment system as well as the water re-use system to meet financial, environmental,



quality and legislative requirements.Providing technical reports and advice to other members of staff on environmental issues.Providing assistance with Environmental Assessments for Council's construction projects.Assisting in storm water management and land and water management planningDeveloping a plan to address environmental issues within Junee Shire.Assisting other staff on waste management and minimisation issues.IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?
To succeed in this position, you will possess:Tertiary qualifications in Environmental ManagementOH&S; General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (White Card)Current Class C NSW Driver's LicenceDemonstrated ability to manage a small team and contractorsDemonstrated ability and experience in the co-ordination of projectsDemonstrated experience using Geographic Information SystemsHighly developed leadership and representational skillsDemonstrated knowledge of WHS and environmental legislationWHAT'S ON OFFER?
