Trainee Tanning Drum OperatorLocation: Culcairn, NSWGeelong Leather, a long-established Australian leather processor, is seeking a motivated Trainee Tanning Drum Operator to join our Drum Department at our Culcairn facility.
This is a hands-on, full-time role is crucial in processing cattle hides into wet blue leather.What You'll Do:Operate forklifts (and attachments) to load/unload trucks and drums and binsHandle hides using manual and automated equipmentWeigh, measure and handle chemicals with bags weighing up to *****kgPrepare and maintain the processing of hides and skinsOperate basic effluent treatment systemsMaintain accurate records and housekeeping standardsAbility to work a 12-hour rotating shifts on a 3-day rotating roster alternating between two weeks of day shift and two weeks of night shift (Includes rotated weekends and public holidays).
About You:Physically fit and capable of manual labourPassionate about learning new skillsGood literacy, numeracy,



and time managementStrong communication and the ability to follow directionsCommitment to long-term training and growthCan work autonomously and manage shift workValid driver's license and reliable transportForklift experience preferred but not essentialMust currently reside in Australia with valid work rights (no sponsorships offered at this time) and reside no further than 65km from Culcairn, NSW (fatigue management).
