We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant to join our manufacturing business and play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, reporting and commercial performance of the business.
This is a broad role suited to an accountant who enjoys being involved in the detail and understands the financial complexities of a manufacturing workplace.
You will work closely with management and operational teams, providing accurate financial information and helping drive better business decisions.Key responsibilitiesPrepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance resultsManage BAS preparation and lodgement, including GST reconciliationsManage and reconcile Payroll Tax obligationsManage Workers Compensation requirements, reconciliations and reportingManage debtor insurance and other business insurance policies, including renewals, reconciliations and claims where requiredAccounts receivable and debtor management, including credit control and collectionsPrepare and monitor BOM (Bill of Materials) costing and ensure accurate product costingManage inventory accounting, including stock movements,



valuation, provisions and reconciliationsAnalyse stock variances, manufacturing costs and production performanceAssist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow managementAbout you3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar rolePrevious experience in a manufacturing business is highly desirableStrong knowledge of BOM and product costingSolid experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliationsExperience managing BAS and GSTExperience with Payroll Tax and Workers CompensationExperience managing debtor insurance and general business insuranceStrong understanding of month-end reporting and reconciliationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA key accounting role within an established manufacturing businessOpportunity to work closely with MDBroad exposure across accounting, manufacturing and commercial operationsA hands-on role with genuine responsibility and ownershipSupportive working environmentCompetitive salary package based on experience
