with occasional work at Ballarat when operationally required.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering engaging Heavy Vehicle training across relevant licence categoriesConducting Heavy Vehicle licence assessments in accordance with VicRoads requirementsProviding a qualified and supportive experience for studentsCompleting training and assessment records accurately and on timeConducting vehicle pre-start checks and promptly reporting faults or maintenance requirementsMaintaining training vehicles, facilities and resources in a clean, safe and serviceable conditionWorking collaboratively with the wider ACE Training teamMaintaining current industry knowledge and trainer/assessor requirementsAbout YouWe're looking for an experienced transport professional who combines strong Heavy Vehicle skills with the ability to communicate, teach and work effectively as part of a team.You will ideally have:Current Heavy Combination driver's licence, including non-synchromesh competencyRecent and relevant Heavy Vehicle industry experienceVicRoads Heavy Vehicle Licence Testing Officer accreditation,



or the ability to obtain the required accreditationCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or recognised equivalent); orThe following individual training and assessment units:TAEASS412 – Assess competenceTAEDEL311 – Provide work skill instructionTAEDEL411 – Facilitate vocational trainingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA professional and safety-focused approachGood organisational and administrative skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a broader teamCurrent or ability to obtain required Working with Children and Police ChecksAustralian working rightsTraining & Assessment QualificationsFor this position, preference will be given to candidates who already hold the required training and assessment qualifications and can meet the requirements for VicRoads Heavy Vehicle Licence Testing Officer accreditation.ACE Training supports the development of experienced industry professionals into training and assessment roles through our broader trainer development pathway.
