You're Needed in Gippsland - Advanced Child Protection Practitioner (CPP4) roles
You'll be part of a team where you'll have opportunities to learn, grow and make a positive difference.
As an advanced child protection practitioner, you will receive and assess reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people.
Conduct investigations and develop plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
This may include taking matters to court.
You will often be dealing with more complex cases and will operate with an increased level of autonomy appropriate for the role.

Salary of $100,894 to $114,476 per annum (plus superannuation)
Access to free Child protection wellbeing program (CPWP) and child protection health program (CPHP) designed to support the wellbeing of child protection staff
Generous leave provisions, 20 days of annual leave, 15 days of personal/carers leave, an extra 5 days of additional leave after 12 months of service
Child Protection Practice Induction Program delivered over 5 weeks, to equip recent starts with the necessary practice knowledge and skills
Regional benefits, retention allowance of $2,500 for child protection practitioners that live in certain regional locations.

Key
responsibilities:
Conducting risk assessments and investigations
Managing complex cases,



problem solving and presenting matters to the Children's Court of Victoria as required
Being responsible for supporting and developing Beginning Child Protection Practitioners in the integration of theory and practice while demonstrating your expertise through case practice
Determining case plans (including stability plans, cultural plans and therapeutic treatment plans) for the safety and wellbeing of children
Delivering case practice and case management services for children and young people who are either living with family or placed in out of home care.

Skills and experience required
Preferred candidates will have a social work, welfare, psychology related qualification and/or relevant experience
Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years' case work or similar relevant experience in child and family social work
A valid driver's license (learner's permit not acceptable)
A current working with children's check card
