We are looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Anaesthetic Team at Flinders Medical Centre!
The Anaesthesia Department provides anaesthesia services for most of the divisions at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).
The expertise required of the staff is broader ranging than in any other hospital in South Australia.
It includes all surgical specialties, obstetrics, neonatal surgery, liver transplant, cardiac surgery, paediatric surgery and major trauma.

About the role:
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager may involve:
Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Educators to maintain a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and career development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning.
Providing shift-by-shift leadership in the provision of nursing care within the Anaesthetics unit.
Acting to resolve any local and/or immediate nursing care or service delivery problems.
Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations.
About you:
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
Minimum
of 3-years full-time equivalent, post-registration experience.




Demonstrated competence in Anaesthetic nursing practice and leadership.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
Additional qualifications relevant to practice setting is advantageous.
Previous experience as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager preferred, but not essential
