Supporting commercial vehicle customers throughout the Mid West, Daimler Trucks Geraldton provides truck sales, servicing, and parts support across a wide range of leading commercial vehicle brands.
This traineeship offers a structured pathway to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified Parts Interpreter within a supportive and experienced team.
About the Role
As a Trainee Parts Interpreter, you will learn all aspects of the parts department while assisting with:
Parts identification and interpretation
Customer enquiries, quoting, and sales
Ordering parts and maintaining stock levels
Receipting and dispatching inventory
Inventory control and stock management
Maintaining parts records and catalogues
Supplying parts to the workshop team
General parts department administration and operations
Throughout the traineeship,



you will progressively develop the skills and industry knowledge required to work independently as a Parts Interpreter.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Be reliable, punctual, and committed to learning
Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Be confident communicating with customers and workshop staff
Be comfortable using computers and learning new systems
Have an interest in automotive, trucks, or mechanical equipment
Work well as part of a team
Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
School leavers, mature-age applicants, and career changers are encouraged to apply.
Desirable Requirements
Driver's licence preferred, but not essential
Previous automotive, retail, warehousing, or parts experience is advantageous but not required
Genuine interest in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry
