Are you a qualified Diesel Mechanic who knows trucks inside & out , enjoys dealing with customers and is starting to think about what the next stage of your career looks like?
OR are you a qualified Diesel Mechanic, but haven moved into sales ............ well we are looking for you !
This could be it.
Due to a recent promotion Bendigo Truck Centre is looking for the next person to join our highly successful Truck Sales team, representing Hino, IVECO and Hyundai Trucks across Bendigo and the surrounding region.
And we're specifically interested in talking to diesel mechanics who are ready to step off the tools and into a responsible career in truck sales.

Our previous salesperson came to us from a diesel mechanic background with strong technical knowledge but without a traditional sales background & he was extremely successful.
His mechanical knowledge gave him genuine credibility with customers.
He understood what they were talking about, understood their applications and could help specify the right truck because he'd actually worked on them.
He's now been promoted within our business — which is exactly why this position has become available.
YOU KNOW TRUCKS.
WE'LL TEACH YOU SALES.
We're not necessarily looking for a career salesperson.
We're looking for someone who understands trucks, presents well , communicates exceptionally well and has the drive and personality to succeed.
You'll work with owner-drivers, local businesses, major fleets, councils and corporate customers, selling and specifying new Hino, IVECO and Hyundai trucks, along with quality used vehicles.




Your mechanical background gives you something that's very difficult to teach:
You can look at an application and understand what the truck actually needs to do.
We'll teach you the rest.
Previous truck sales experience is NOT essential.
For this position, we'd rather have the right truck person with the right attitude and teach them sales.
You'll also receive ongoing mentoring and guidance from an industry professional with 23 years of experience in the truck industry.
You won't be expected to work everything out on your own.
You'll have someone beside you who understands the industry, the customers and what it takes to build a successful long-term career in truck sales.
And there is genuine career progression.
The person you're replacing is proof of that.

For the right person stepping into sales, that means established brands, an established customer base,



experienced support around you and a dealership with a proven track record.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You'll develop and manage customer relationships from the initial enquiry right through to delivery.
That includes understanding the customer's operation, helping specify the correct truck, preparing quotations, following up opportunities, prospecting for new business and building long-term relationships.
You'll also benefit from consisten the consistent and ongoing trading support from the manufacturers, helping you build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across Hino, IVECO and Hyundai Trucks.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally, you're:
A qualified Diesel Mechanic or experienced heavy vehicle technician
Extremely competent with computers and technology
Someone with genuine knowledge of trucks and the transport industry
Confident talking with customers
Professional, well presented, well organised and most of all reliable
Self-motivated and prepared to chase opportunities
Someone who enjoys dealing with people
Looking for a genuine long‐term career move
Ideally a Bendigo local or already established in the surrounding region
