With a busy service department and a strong focus on technical excellence, we are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on mechanical work, takes pride in delivering quality repairs and understands the pace and expectations of a successful dealership environment.
About the Role
This is a role for an experienced technician who can confidently perform more than routine servicing and is comfortable undertaking mechanical repairs when required.
Diagnostic experience is highly regarded.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on Toyota vehicles
Performing general and major repairs including engine work, timing chain replacements, suspension, steering, braking and cooling system repairs
Identifying mechanical faults and recommending repair solutions
Diagnosing vehicle concerns and electrical faults where required
Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems to assist with fault finding and repairs
Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Conducting quality inspections and road tests before vehicles are returned to guests
Recording repair information accurately through dealership systems
Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians
Maintaining a safe,



clean and productive workshop environment
Following Toyota and dealership processes, procedures and standards at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced and well‐rounded technician with strong mechanical knowledge and a solid understanding of how a dealership workshop operates.
You will have:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Automotive Technician
Strong experience in servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs
Proven experience carrying out major repairs including engine work and timing chain replacements
Experience working in a franchised dealership environment highly regarded
Sound understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
Diagnostic and fault‐finding experience highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
Current and valid driver's licence
Roadworthy Certificate accreditation or experience highly regarded
