This is an opportunity to lead a team and shape how community nursing is delivered at BCH.
You'll provide clinical and operational leadership across BCH's Community Nursing and Specialist Care Programs, including services delivered through a variety of funding streams.
You'll lead a team of nurses, support their clinical practice and development, manage service demands and work with the Allied Health Manager and broader BCH team to improve quality, safety and client outcomes.
You might be working through a staffing issue, responding to a client concern or identifying a better way to deliver care.
What you'll bring to the team
You have strong nursing experience and the clinical judgement that comes with it.
You understand community nursing, complex client needs and the importance of delivering care that supports people's health and independence.
Just as importantly, you want to lead people and improve services.
You might already have formal management experience, but it isn't the only way to demonstrate you're ready.
Perhaps you've provided clinical supervision, mentored nurses, led service improvement initiatives, taken on acting leadership responsibilities or become a trusted source of clinical guidance within your team.
You'll be someone who can:




Lead and develop a team.
You'll provide direction, support professional development and help create a positive team culture.
Stay clinically grounded.
You'll support nurses with complex clinical situations, escalation and decision-making while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Manage the bigger picture.
You'll balance clinical quality, workforce needs, service demand, resources and client outcomes.
Improve how services work.
You'll identify opportunities to strengthen systems, processes and clinical practice.
This role also requires you to be flexible and comfortable working across BCH sites as needed.
What you'll need
You'll hold a tertiary qualification in Nursing and current registration with the AHPRA.
You'll also hold a relevant management qualification or be working towards one, and have at least three years' professional nursing experience, including community nursing.
