Asphalt Technical Lead - Product SupportVertu Equipment Victoria Pty Limited – Dandenong VICAs the Asphalt Technical Lead – Product Support at Vertu Equipment, you'll become the key technical point of contact for Vertu's asphalt product range.
This is a hands‐on role where you'll be on the tools, in the field and working directly with customers, while also helping build the technical capability of the asphalt division from the ground up.
The role covers Victoria initially, with interstate, New Zealand and Pacific travel required from time to time.
Asphalt work is often time‐critical and performed at night or on weekends, so flexibility around customer breakdowns and paving shifts is important.Key responsibilitiesCommissioning new profilers, pavers and asphalt plant equipmentDiagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control system faultsProviding technical support to customers and service techniciansSupporting customers during critical paving and profiling operationsSetting up pavers, screeds, grade control and associated systemsProviding first‐line technical support for asphalt plants and coordinating specialist contractors where requiredConducting operator and maintenance trainingManaging warranty investigations and technical escalations with SANYMentoring technicians and apprentices as the team growsWorking closely with Sales,



Parts and Service to deliver a strong customer experienceAbout youA trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, Plant Mechanics, Fitting & Turning or equivalent3+ years' experience working on heavy mobile plant or similar field‐service equipmentStrong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skillsExperience working independently in the fieldExperience with asphalt pavers, profilers or asphalt plants is highly desirableExperience with screeds, grade control or machine control systems is advantageousExposure to PLCs and electronic control systems is advantageousAbout usVertu Group is one of the fastest-growing heavy machinery dealers in Australasia, representing SANY across Victoria, Current Zealand and the Pacific.
