Cablenet Industries is expanding its fibre delivery team and is seeking an experienced Fibre Splicer / Fibre Technician to support telecommunications projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.This role would suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently when required and understands the importance of accurate testing, documentation and network compliance.Experience working on Optus, Vocus and VicTrack networks will be highly regarded.About the roleYour responsibilities will include:Fibre optic cable preparation, splicing and jointingInstallation and maintenance of fibre joint enclosures, cabinets and termination equipmentOTDR, insertion loss and power meter testingFault finding, diagnosis and fibre restorationFibre cutovers and live network activitiesReading fibre allocation tables, splice diagrams and construction plansCompleting test results, redlines, as-built records and project documentationEnsuring all works meet client specifications and quality requirementsMaintaining splicing equipment, tools and company assetsWorking closely with project managers, field crews and client representativesWhat we are looking forDemonstrated experience in fibre optic splicing and testingStrong understanding of telecommunications fibre networksExperience completing fibre cutovers and working on live networksAbility to read and interpret fibre plans,
