We're seeking a Claims Officer to join our Liability Claims team, managing a portfolio of third-party property damage claims arising under liability policies of insurance.
This is an opportunity to work on complex and varied matters, apply your liability knowledge, and develop your career within a supportive and technically focused setting.This is a permanent full-time role open to applicants based in Brisbane and Sydney.What You'll Be DoingYou'll take ownership of an end-to-end portfolio of liability claims, investigating indemnity and liability, developing relevant claim strategies, negotiating outcomes and delivering fair, commercially sound decisions.Your Day May InvolveManaging a diverse portfolio of public liability claims from lodgement through to resolutionInvestigating liability, quantum and indemnity issuesGathering and analysing evidence to support claim outcomesEngaging with brokers, customers, solicitors, experts and other stakeholdersNegotiating settlements and contributing to dispute resolution strategiesIdentifying recovery opportunities and managing litigation exposures where requiredMaking decisions that balance customer outcomes with commercial riskWhat We're Looking ForWe're keen to hear from professionals with experience managing public liability claims or third-party claims.You'll BringDemonstrated experience managing liability claims end-to-endStrong analytical and investigative skillsConfidence interpreting policy coverage and liability principlesExcellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilitiesA proactive approach to decision making and problem solvingWhy join us?
