Our client is a growing construction services business seeking a motivated and detail-focused Estimator to join their team.Working closely with the estimating, project and technical teams, you'll play an important role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders and quotations.Skills & experience:Able to read and interpret construction drawings, or has a strong willingness to learnNumerically confident with solid attention to detailConfident using Excel and general computer systemsHighly organised and able to manage multiple tendersA good communicator who works well with different teamsPositive, proactive and willing to learnInterested in developing a long-term career within estimatingManual drivers licenceWhat matters most is that you're switched on, comfortable with numbers, highly organised and keen to build a long-term career in estimating.Key responsibilities:Reviewing construction drawings,
specifications and tender documentationCompleting quantity take-offs and measurementsCalculating labour and material costsAssisting with quotations and tender submissionsFollowing up on tenders and quotationsPreparing exclusions and tender clarificationsAssisting with RFIs and gathering information required for pricingWorking closely with estimating, project and technical teamsAssisting with the handover of successful tenders to the project teamManaging multiple tenders and priorities in an organised and timely mannerIf you have a construction background, understand drawings and measurements, or simply have strong numerical and analytical skills and want to learn, we'd like to hear from you.
