About the RoleHOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS5 Finance Officer to support a Federal Government organisation's Financial Reporting and Control team based in Surry Hills, Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with robust asset and lease accounting experience to contribute to a high-performing team responsible for financial reporting, compliance, and financial management activities.Working under limited direction, you will play a key role in managing asset, fleet, and property lease accounting processes while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and organisational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with asset, fleet and property lease management using SAP REFXReview new lease contracts, amendments and lease terminationsPerform reconciliations of fleet lease contracts and vendor accountsComplete lease assessments and supporting financial calculationsCreate and maintain fleet and property lease records in SAP REFXPrepare and distribute monthly lease reportingProcess monthly lease, rent and property allocation journalsPrepare fleet interest and lease liability working papersInvestigate and resolve financial variances with key stakeholdersEnsure compliance with AASB16 lease accounting requirementsSupport asset reporting, financial statements and audit activitiesProvide financial asset management advice to internal stakeholdersPrepare business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentationCollaborate with corporate services,
