Permanent full-time position – 35 hours per weekAbout Ku-ring-gaiCouncil is located 16 km's north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales most attractive natural environments.About the roleYou will be responsible for managing an area to ensure all facets of building certification, including inspections and investigations are undertaken.DutiesAct as Principal Certifier by inspecting buildings during construction and after completionAssess applications for building and environmental certificatesProvide construction advice to customers both internal and externalInspect existing buildings to ensure an adequate level of public safetyInvestigate and manage enquiries relating to area of expertise.Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceTertiary qualifications in building surveying or related discipline with a minimum registration of Building Surveyor restricted and or unrestricted (All classes of Buildings) under the Building and Development Certifiers Act ****.Sound knowledge of legislation relating to development and building control, with particular regard to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act **** and Regulations,
