Our client is an established construction and engineering business is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic to join its team based in Redbank, Brisbane.This is a hands-on position maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of construction and heavy plant equipment.
The successful candidate will work across both workshop maintenance and field breakdowns, with a company vehicle supplied for breakdown and site work.The RoleYou will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of construction and heavy plant equipment, including:CranesPiling rigsExcavatorsHeavy construction equipmentMobile plant and associated machineryYour duties will include:Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenanceBreakdown diagnosis and repairsMechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault findingField-service and onsite breakdown workEquipment inspectionsComponent repairs and replacementMaintaining accurate service and maintenance recordsEnsuring equipment is operating safely and reliablyWorking independently when attending breakdowns and site call-outsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is confident working autonomously and has strong practical experience maintaining heavy plant or construction equipment.Ideally, you will have:Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Plant Mechanic,
