In this pivotal role, you'll partner with leaders across the organisation to navigate complex employee relations matters, provide expert advice, and help shape workplace strategies that drive meaningful outcomesAs a senior member of the Employee Relations team, you'll provide specialist guidance on a broad range of workplace relations matters while working closely with HR Business Partners and operational leaders.
You'll be at the forefront of managing sensitive and complex people issues, helping leaders build capability and confidence in managing their teams.Providing expert advice on employee and industrial relations mattersManaging complex cases including performance, grievances, disciplinary matters, complaints, and ill or injured worker casesCoaching and supporting leaders through challenging people situationsConducting and supporting workplace investigations and recommending practical solutionsInterpreting awards, enterprise agreements, legislation, and organisational policiesDeveloping and delivering ER training programsContributing to HR projects, policy development, reporting,



and continuous improvement initiativesBuilding strong relationships across the organisation as a trusted advisor and business partnerAbout youYou're a confident and credible HR professional who combines technical expertise with exceptional relationship-building skills.
You enjoy balancing strategy with hands‐on case management and can confidently influence stakeholders at all levels.You'll bring:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)Extensive experience managing complex employee relations mattersStrong knowledge of employment legislation, awards, industrial agreements, and ER frameworksExceptional communication, coaching, influencing, and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical, problem‐solving, and decision‐making capabilityStrong report writing, research, and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environmentExperience working within a large, complex organisation will be highly regardedMater is Queensland's largest not‐for‐profit network of public and private hospitals and healthcare services, bringing together world‐class expertise across healthcare , education , fundraising & philanthropy and research .
