An exciting chance is available for an experienced Security Technician / Commissioning Engineer to join a growing team delivering electronic security solutions across commercial and critical infrastructure projects throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who enjoys working on complex systems, commissioning large-scale projects and solving technical problems from installation through to final handover.The RoleYou will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and fault-finding of integrated electronic security systems, including:CCTV and enterprise VMS platformsAccess control systemsIntruder and perimeter detectionIntegrated building security systemsControllers, readers, cameras and serversHead-end security software and system integrationsIP networks, PoE and basic switch configurationsYou'll work across a range of commercial, construction and critical infrastructure environments, ensuring systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian Standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure and commission electronic security systemsComplete end-to-end commissioning and system testingDiagnose and rectify faults across security systems and networksConduct pre-commissioning inspections and testingRead and interpret drawings,



specifications and technical documentationComplete commissioning records, as-builts and system backupsAssist with system handovers and client trainingLiaise professionally with clients, site teams and building managersComplete preventative maintenance and reactive service work when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone with:Relevant Cert III or higher qualification in electrotechnology, electronics, security or a related tradeCommercial or critical infrastructure security installation/commissioning experienceStrong knowledge of IP networking, including IP addressing, VLANs and PoEAbility to read electrical, security and architectural drawingsCurrent Security Installer Licence or ability to obtain oneUnrestricted driver's licenceStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a project teamExperience with Gallagher and/or Integriti will be highly advantageous.Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Honeywell, Inner Range, Lenel or C-Cure will also be well regarded.What's on OfferFull-time, ongoing positionExposure to large-scale commercial and critical infrastructure projectsOpportunity to work with advanced integrated security systemsVariety of project and field-based workEnterprise Agreement conditions and ratesOpportunities for ongoing technical developmentWork across some high-profile and technically challenging environments
