Kallara Early Education is a brand-new Early Childhood Education and Care service that opened earlier this year.
With our enrolments continuing to grow, we are looking for a friendly, organised and passionate Service Cook to join our team.
Our cook plays an important part in our service, preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our children each day while maintaining a clean, safe and well‐organised kitchen.

About the role
As our Service Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children attending the service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing fresh, nutritious and child‐friendly meals and snacks
Following the service's rotating menu
Catering for children's allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Managing food preparation, storage and stock rotation




Completing kitchen and food safety documentation
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
Managing stock levels and food ordering
Working closely with educators and management regarding children's dietary needs
Maintaining a solid understanding of child safety requirements within an Early Childhood environment
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
A current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Willing to Complete Child Safe Training through Geccko
A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices
The ability to confidently manage allergies, intolerances and individual dietary requirements
A reliable, organised and positive approach to their work
Previous experience working as a cook within an Early Childhood Education and Care service is highly regarded.
