Key responsibilities
Undertake behavioural assessments and functional behavioural analyses
Deliver evidence-based interventions & assessments, behavioural counselling & support to a range of clients withmental illness, extreme functional impairment, and very high support needs
Provide training and reflective practice to care teams/outreach support services of complex clients after a behaviour support plan is developed
Achieve client defined clinical outcomes such as reducing challenging behaviour & improving quality of life
Key selection criteria
Relevant tertiary qualification inPsychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Developmental Education
Full registration with the relevant membership body (AHPRA, SPA, DEAI or AASW)
Registered & endorsed as a PBS practitioner with NDIS (Core and above)
Experience within the criminal justice sector and in forensic behavioural science
Experience supporting clients with multiple behaviours of concern, psychosocial disability arising from severe mental illness, extreme functional impairment, and very high support needs
