Assistant Accountant Full Time | On Site | FinanceAspire Early Education & Kindergarten is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced and detail focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation, this is a hands on role supporting the day to day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across a high volume, multi entity environment.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, working with financial systems and building efficient finance operations within a growing organisation.About the RoleAs our Assistant Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, completing reconciliations and supporting month end activities.A key focus of the position will be supporting the continued development of our Accounts Payable function, including improving automation and ensuring our processes can effectively support Aspire's continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess approximately 2,500 Accounts Payable invoices each monthCoordinate fortnightly supplier payment runsProcess employee reimbursementsSupport Accounts Payable month end close by working day oneComplete revenue reconciliations including CCS and ECEC subsidiesPrepare invoices for intercompany, related party and other revenue streamsComplete monthly reconciliations across approximately 50 bank accounts and 100 credit cardsComplete AP ageing analysis, supplier statement and subledger reconciliationsAssist with journals,
accruals and month end reportingMonitor AP automation performance and identify opportunities for improvementMaintain users and provide basic troubleshooting support within MediusBuild positive working relationships with suppliers, Centre teams, Support Office and ProcurementAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and confident working in a busy finance setting.You will ideally bring:Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or FinanceMinimum three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts or Assistant Accountant positions within a large organisationStrong Accounts Payable experience and understanding of AP best practicesGood understanding of accounting principlesExperience working with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience highly regardedExperience with AP automation platforms such as Medius, Coupa or BaswareIntermediate Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and time management skillsA continuous improvement and automation mindsetStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA collaborative, reliable and solutions focused approachWhy Join Aspire?
