Drive improvement.iDetect Group is a growing Australian security technology company delivering innovative CCTV, monitoring and security solutions across the construction, commercial and residential sectors.We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of our Victorian production operations and lead a growing team from our Braeside facility.Reporting directly to the State Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys managing people, improving processes and making sure things get done properly and on time.You don't necessarily need to come from the security industry.
If you have strong production leadership experience within a technical, electrical, manufacturing or assembly environment, we want to hear from you.The RoleAs Production Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the production department, including people, workflow, quality, inventory, safety and delivery.Your responsibilities will include:Lead, supervise and develop the production teamPlan daily and weekly production schedules around upcoming installations and customer requirementsAllocate labour and resources to maximise productivityOversee the building, programming, testing and preparation of security equipmentManage stock levels, purchasing and inventory controlMonitor production performance, quality and departmental KPIsIdentify bottlenecks and implement practical process improvementsDevelop and maintain SOPs,



checklists and production proceduresMaintain high quality-control standards across completed equipmentConduct workplace inspections, toolbox meetings and safety auditsMaintain a clean, organised and protected production environmentTrain, mentor and develop team membersAssist with recruitment, onboarding and performance managementProvide regular production updates to the State ManagerProvide occasional after-hours technical support when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for a leader who takes ownership.You'll be organised, practical and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
You'll know how to set expectations, hold people accountable and build a positive, productive team culture.Ideally, you'll bring:Previous experience managing a production, manufacturing, workshop or technical teamStrong leadership and people-management skillsExperience within a technical assembly, electrical, electronics or similar environmentExcellent planning and organisational skillsStrong problem-solving abilityExperience improving processes and operational efficiencyUnderstanding of inventory and stock managementExperience with quality assurance and continuous improvementStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detailA proactive,
