We're working with an established technology business based in Cambridge that is continuing to expand its engineering teams and develop a range of new products.They are looking for a Test Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering environment, contributing to the testing and validation of both software and hardware-based systems.The roleDevelop and improve testing processes across new and existing productsCreate and maintain automated test solutions alongside manual testingWork closely with software, hardware and systems engineers throughout the product lifecycleIdentify issues early and help drive improvements in product quality and reliabilityTake ownership of testing activities and contribute to the wider engineering strategyWork on a variety of new and evolving productsOpportunity to take ownership and develop your testing expertiseCollaborative engineering environment with experienced technical teamsModern working setting based in CambridgeStrong opportunities for progression as the company continues to growWhat we're looking forPrevious experience in software, embedded or systems testingComfortable working across both manual and automated testingExperience developing or maintaining automated test scripts/frameworksProgramming or scripting experience, ideally with Python, C# or a similar languageFamiliarity with common testing, defect tracking or test management toolsExperience working within a hardware/software development environment would be advantageousBackground in communications, electronics or another technology-led industry would be beneficial, but isn't essentialDesirable to have4G or 5G experienceWorked with DMR devices or mobile phones
