Previous automotive dealership or vehicle wholesale accounting experience is essential.About the RoleWorking closely with the CFO, senior management and the broader Accounts and Administration team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong financial controls across the business.You will play an important role in month-end reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis and ensuring the integrity of our dealership accounting records and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and complete monthly management accounts and month-end reportingPrepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other financial reportsComplete and review bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records across dealership and wholesale operationsReview transactions, journals, accruals and financial adjustmentsAssist with budgeting, forecasting and management reportingMonitor financial performance and identify discrepancies or areas requiring investigationSupport accurate vehicle stock, inventory & transaction accountingWork closely with management to provide meaningful financial information and reportingAssist with BAS,



statutory reporting and other financial compliance requirementsSupport solid internal financial controls and accounting processesWork collaboratively with Accounts, Administration and operational teamsIdentify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial accuracyWhat We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous accounting experience within an automotive dealership or vehicle wholesale environment - essentialA Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineCPA or CA qualificationStrong experience preparing monthly accounts and management reportsDemonstrated experience with balance sheet, bank and general ledger reconciliationsStrong understanding of Australian accounting principles and financial complianceExcellent attention to detail and a high level of financial accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsThe ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolutionConfidence working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environmentStrong Excel and financial systems capabilityThe ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational stakeholdersHighly RegardedExperience with the following will be viewed favorably:Eclipse Dealer Management System (DMS) - preferred but not essentialUniPay Payroll system - preferred but not essentialAutomotive inventory and vehicle stock accountingDealership management reportingMulti-entity or group accountingVehicle floorplan or inventory finance reconciliationsWhat We Offer$100,000 + superannuationFull-time, permanent positionOpportunity to join a growing Melbourne automotive groupA hands-on role with exposure across wholesale and dealership operationsDirect interaction with senior managementOpportunity to contribute to improving financial systems, reporting and processes as the Group continues to grow
