We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Lawyer to join our growing team.
This role is full time, however, we will consider part-time options.
Experience in Family Law is preferred and experience in other areas of law is highly desirable but not essential.Key responsibilitiesAssisting with parenting, property settlement, divorce, domestic violence and child protection matters.Listening carefully to clients and helping them feel heard, respected and supportedCommunicating sensitive legal information clearly and compassionately.Conducting legal research and preparing written adviceDrafting correspondence, affidavits, court documents, consent orders and other legal documentsAssisting with disclosure, evidence preparation and court filingCommunicating professionally with clients, opposing solicitors, barristers, experts and court staffAttending client conferences, mediations, mentions and court hearingsManaging deadlines and maintaining accurate electronic filesSupporting the Principal Solicitor with complex and sensitive mattersAbout youAdmission, or eligibility for admission, as a solicitor in QueenslandApproximately one to three years of post-admission experience, preferably in family law.A compassionate, patient and non-judgmental approach.The emotional maturity to assist clients experiencing distress, uncertainty or conflict.Solid legal research,
