Workforce Extensions Sutherland are seeking a motivated Wastewater Treatment Service Engineer to join our team in a hands‐on technical role servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting wastewater treatment systems across a range of customer sites.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‐on technical work, troubleshooting and solving real‐world problems, while building their skills and developing a long‐term career within the growing wastewater treatment industry.The RoleYour day-to-day responsibilities will include:Carrying out on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of wastewater treatment equipment and systemsAttending customer sites to diagnose equipment and process issues and provide practical technical solutionsOperating, servicing and maintaining wastewater treatment plants and associated equipmentServicing and installing pumps, pumping systems, mixers and chemical dosing equipmentWorking with pH control systems and associated wastewater equipmentSupporting the installation, commissioning and start‐up of wastewater treatment equipment and systemsMonitoring equipment and system performance and identifying operational issues or opportunities for improvementPreparing engineering drawings, equipment layouts, quotations and technical documentationAssisting with basic system design, modifications and engineering requirements where requiredReading and interpreting equipment drawings, layouts and technical documentationCoordinating installation projects, contractors, suppliers and site activitiesProviding technical support and guidance to customers regarding equipment operation and maintenanceLiaising with clients,



suppliers and project teams to ensure the effective completion of service and installation worksCompleting site‐based service and maintenance workMaintaining accurate service records and reporting on site activitiesTravelling to customer sites as requiredAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is practical, technically minded and enjoys solving problems.Ideally, you will have:Previous experience in wastewater treatment, plant operation, servicing or maintenanceMechanical, electrical, environmental or process engineering experienceKnowledge of pumps, mixers, pipework, chemical dosing and pH control systemsExperience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical or process‐related equipmentExperience with wastewater treatment system design is advantageousAutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is desirableStrong practical and hands‐on skillsGood troubleshooting and problem‐solving abilityStrong communication, organization and time management skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience coordinating contractors, suppliers or site activities is advantageousValid Australian Driver's LicenseFull Australian working rightsExperience & TrainingPrevious wastewater treatment experience is preferred; however, we are open to candidates from related mechanical, electrical, engineering or technical backgrounds who have strong practical skills and the right attitude.
