Permanent Full-Time | Eastern Suburbs | ConstructionAn established and growing construction business is looking for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of its people function and work closely with senior leadership across the organisation.This is a broad, hands-on generalist role where you'll have genuine visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence how people are recruited, supported, developed and retained.You'll be joining a fast-paced, project-driven environment where HR is expected to be practical, commercially aware and connected to the day-to-day needs of the business.The Opportunity As HR Manager, you'll manage the HR function across the full employee lifecycle while acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees.The role combines operational HR, employee relations and recruitment with longer-term initiatives across performance, capability, engagement and workforce planning.You'll have the autonomy to take ownership, improve existing processes and help shape the people practices of a business that continues to grow.What You'll Be DoingProvide practical HR and employee relations advice to managers and employeesManage recruitment and workforce resourcing across the businessOversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding and probation through to performance management and offboardingPrepare employment contracts, variations, correspondence and HR documentationManage employee relations matters, including performance, conduct and disciplinary processesCoordinate performance and remuneration review processesIdentify training and development needs and support capability-building initiativesPartner with leaders on workforce planning,
succession and employee retentionDevelop initiatives that support employee engagement and a positive workplace cultureMaintain HR policies, processes and documentation in line with Australian employment legislationDrive improvements across HR systems, processes and reportingSupport broader people and culture projects as the business continues to evolveYou'll Ideally Bring5+ years' experience in a broad HR generalist roleStrong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practiceDemonstrated experience managing employee relations and performance mattersExperience across recruitment, onboarding, HR operations and the broader employee lifecycleConfidence partnering with senior leaders and providing pragmatic HR adviceStrong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across different levels of a businessExcellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesA practical, proactive and solutions-focused approachMust have - Australian Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyExperience within construction, engineering, property or another project-based environment would be highly regarded, but strong HR generalists from similarly fast-paced industries are also encouraged to apply.Why Apply?
